Server rack is a framework for the organized hosting of servers, storages and network equipment in a data center. A full rack provides from 42 to 47 units - cells for placing equipment. You can rent the entire rack or each individual unit in it to house a server. Regardless of the number of rented units in the rack, the client is provided with a full package of services for the use of hardware capabilities, uptime, hardware monitoring, technical and service support. Renting a private rack and units is useful for business when server colocation in a reliable data center is required or when you need to rent hardware capacity in a data center and reserve space for it.

CloudKleyer offers to rent racks and rack space for hardware, and also colocation service in Tier 3 data centers in Germany and other countries. Two data centers in Germany: locations in Frankfurt am Main and Darmstadt. Due to its own diesel generators, the data center can operate autonomously for up to 3 days even in the case of complete power outage.

Server rooms with rental racks are kept at the constant temperature of + 24°C. For this purpose indirect adiabatic cooling and the principle of hot aisle containment are used. The backup air conditioning system in the data center is organized according to the N+2 scheme: even in case of simultaneous failure of two air conditioners at once, they will be automatically replaced by backup air conditioners.

Optical/heat fire detectors are located on 2 levels of the data center: ceiling and raised floor. We use active internal fire extinguishing systems. You have the possibility to select a room for rental server rack or units with both active and passive fire protection.

Rental racks in the data center are equipped with redundant uninterruptible power supplies with the N+1 scheme support: in case of UPS failure in a rack, the redundant UPS will be connected automatically.

Biometric control system in the data center and strict access authorization. 24/7 security checks.

The agreement provides for the “Rack rental” service.

Remote hands service

We provide additional technical support as part of Remote hands service: rack mounting, hardware configuring and assistance in troubleshooting, engineering works, installation works, server migration, creation of private corporate cloud, organization of a hybrid corporate cloud, preparation for relocation and hardware transportation. You can choose hourly or flat rate per project.

Post-warranty service on a subscription basis

After the end of the warranty period we will replace any components, including the most expensive and obsolete ones, free of charge, if the client pays a subscription fee.

Connection to DE-CIX traffic exchange point

CloudKleyer is an official partner of DE-CIX, the world's largest Internet traffic exchange point. When renting a rack or hardware colocation, we can provide free peering as part of the GlobePEER service.

Direct connection to the world's largest clouds

As part of the DirectCLOUD service we can organize direct connection to the 50 largest clouds of the world, including Amazon Web Services, Microsoft Azure Cloud, Google Cloud Platform, Oracle Cloud, IBM Cloud. Direct access to the cloud involves connection to the rack of the high-speed channel isolated from the Internet and fully protected from DDoS attacks.

Made in Germany

The cost of rental server rack and rack space is fixed in the agreement and does not change. We keep our prices unchanged for 10 years (except for electricity bills). The contract term and billing for renting a rack or the “Colocation” service can be customized individually.

How does the process of renting a full rack work?

To rent a rack or rack space in the data center you need to contact our support team. During a free consultation, you will receive comprehensive information about the terms of the rent and technical details, as well as an estimate of the cost of services. If an agreement on cooperation is reached, we will conclude an agreement, which will specify the conditions of the rent and fixed price for the rental rack space or full rack in the data center.

Who will have access to the rack and server?

We provide a privacy policy. Server racks are housed in a 19” cabinet with an individual lock. Access to the hardware can only be authorized by the renter. When the cabinet is opened, the owner of the hardware always gets a security notification of unauthorized access.
